Airvo Filter

Airvo Filter is a disposable bacterial and viral filter designed for use with the Fisher & Paykel Airvo high-flow humidification system. It protects the internal components of the device from contamination and helps maintain safe, clean airflow delivery to the patient.

Regular filter replacement is essential to maintaining the performance and hygiene of the Airvo system. OxyCare supplies Airvo filters and all other consumable accessories, and can arrange scheduled deliveries to ensure patients and care facilities never run short of critical supplies.

Please follow instructions given by the equipment technician. Please follow your doctor's orders.

Set-up Airvo

  1. Plug unit into grounded outlet.
  2. Connect circuit to Airvo.
  3. Connect interface (cannula, trach elbow, etc) to circuit.
  4. Attach Humidifier Chamber.
  5. Hang Water Bag.
  6. Attach Humidifier Chamber to Water Bag with supplied tubing.
  7. Turn Unit on.
  8. Set prescribed settings.
  9. Allow unit to warm up.
  10. When unit is ready apply interface to patient.
  11. Refill Water Bag as needed.
  12. Patient caregiver gives return demonstration.
  13. Review how to reorder supplies, and when and where to call.

Cleaning

  • Unit may be cleaned as necessary by wiping with clean cloth.
  • Change interface weekly.
  • Change circuit and heater chamber every two weeks.
  • Air filters change every 3 months or as needed.
  • Call Oxycare for questions or assistance.
  • Unit cleaned and sterilized on return to Oxycare.

Safety

  • Do not use extension cords.
  • Use grounded outlets.
  • If electrical safety in question, recommend electrician be called.
