Airvo Heated Breathing Tube

Fisher & Paykel Airvo Heated Breathing Tube is a key consumable component of the Airvo high-flow therapy system, connecting the device to the patient interface while maintaining the temperature and humidity of the delivered air. The integrated heating wire prevents condensation inside the tube, ensuring consistent and comfortable therapy.

Regular replacement of the heated breathing tube is recommended to maintain hygiene and optimal performance. OxyCare supplies all Airvo consumables and can coordinate regular replacement deliveries to support uninterrupted patient care.

Please follow instructions given by the equipment technician. Please follow your doctor's orders.

Set-up Airvo

  1. Plug unit into grounded outlet.
  2. Connect circuit to Airvo.
  3. Connect interface (cannula, trach elbow, etc) to circuit.
  4. Attach Humidifier Chamber.
  5. Hang Water Bag.
  6. Attach Humidifier Chamber to Water Bag with supplied tubing.
  7. Turn Unit on.
  8. Set prescribed settings.
  9. Allow unit to warm up.
  10. When unit is ready apply interface to patient.
  11. Refill Water Bag as needed.
  12. Patient caregiver gives return demonstration.
  13. Review how to reorder supplies, and when and where to call.

Cleaning

  • Unit may be cleaned as necessary by wiping with clean cloth.
  • Change interface weekly.
  • Change circuit and heater chamber every two weeks.
  • Air filters change every 3 months or as needed.
  • Call Oxycare for questions or assistance.
  • Unit cleaned and sterilized on return to Oxycare.

  • Use grounded outlets.
  • If electrical safety in question, recommend electrician be called.
