Fisher & Paykel Airvo Optiflo Interface (Medium) is a standard-fit high-flow nasal cannula designed for use with the Airvo humidification system. It provides a comfortable, secure seal for adult patients receiving heated high-flow oxygen therapy, supporting consistent therapy delivery while reducing the risk of skin irritation.

The medium size fits the majority of adult patients and is the most commonly issued interface size. Regular replacement is recommended to maintain hygiene and optimal flow delivery. OxyCare stocks and supplies all Airvo interface sizes to support ongoing patient care.

Please follow instructions given by the equipment technician. Please follow your doctor's orders.

Set-up Airvo

1. Plug unit into grounded outlet.
2. Connect circuit to Airvo.
3. Connect interface (cannula, trach elbow, etc) to circuit.
4. Attach Humidifier Chamber.
5. Hang Water Bag.
6. Attach Humidifier Chamber to Water Bag with supplied tubing.
7. Turn Unit on.
8. Set prescribed settings.
9. Allow unit to warm up.
10. When unit is ready apply interface to patient.
11. Refill Water Bag as needed.
12. Patient caregiver gives return demonstration.
13. Review how to reorder supplies, and when and where to call.

Cleaning

• Unit may be cleaned as necessary by wiping with clean cloth.
• Change interface weekly.
• Change circuit and heater chamber every two weeks.
• Air filters change every 3 months or as needed.
• Call Oxycare for questions or assistance.
• Unit cleaned and sterilized on return to Oxycare.

• Do not use extension cords.
• Use grounded outlets.
• If electrical safety in question, recommend electrician be called.
