Alternating Pressure Pad with Pump is a complete therapeutic mattress system designed to prevent and manage pressure injuries in patients with limited mobility. The pump automatically cycles airflow through 130 bubble cells on a 10-minute interval, continuously redistributing pressure beneath the patient and promoting blood flow to at-risk skin areas. The system supports patients up to 280 lbs across a full 110" × 35" sleep surface.

The pump operates quietly on standard 120V/60Hz power at just 7W, making it unobtrusive in home and hospice settings. The pad can be cleaned with standard disinfectant solution after use. OxyCare delivers and sets up the complete system, and rental is available for patients with short-term needs.

Please follow instructions given by the equipment technician. Please follow your doctor's orders.

Set-up

1. Technician will set-up APP on your bed.
2. Connect tubing from the pump to the mattress.
3. Plug pump into an approved electrical outlet.
4. Turn pump on. Pump will alternate filling 2 sets of air pockets. It will take 5-10 minutes to inflate mattress.
5. Make bed, placing bed linens directly on the alternating pressure pad.
6. Patient/Caregiver demonstrates each step and has a solid understanding.

Cleaning

1. Alternating pressure pad and pump can be wiped off with soapy water. Wipe soap off with a damp cloth.

Safety

1. Do not use extension cords.
2. Do not have electrical cords or throw rugs near bed due to trip hazard.
3. Do not place sharp objects on the mattress, it can be punctured.
4. Check periodically to be sure tubing is securely fastened and mattress is inflating.
