Broda 16" Tilt-in-Space Chair is a narrower-width specialty seating system for patients with a smaller frame who require full postural support and pressure relief. The 16" seat width suits petite adult patients while delivering the same smooth tilt function and tension-adjustable seating system as larger Broda models.

Broda's tilt-in-space design allows pressure redistribution without altering seated posture, which is critical for skin integrity and comfort in non-ambulatory patients. OxyCare delivers and sets up Broda chairs at the patient's home or facility, and rental is available.

Set-up

1. Technician will set-up Broda Chair.
2. Demonstrate all of the features.
3. Patient/Caregiver demonstrates each step and has a solid understanding.
4. Review how to call for service. When to order. Where to call.

Cleaning

1. Chair can be wiped off with soapy water. Wipe soap off with a damp cloth.

Safety

1. Apply brakes when transferring patient, or when chair is not being moved.
2. Upon transfer into chair tilt sufficiently to prevent sliding or falling forward.
3. Position feet on footrest and slightly to fully elevate footrest.
4. Be sure pathways are clear for movement.
5. Tilt the seat sufficiently to prevent chair from tipping forward or backward.
6. The chair should only be used in a supervised area.
7. Exercise caution when repositioning patient in the chair.
8. The patient should be repositioned frequently.
9. Chair must be used on a level surface. Indoor use only.
10. Avoid placing the chair near handrails or other objects, fixed or movable.
11. Patient should be fully clothed. Avoid contact of bare skin to the straps of the chair.
12. Do Not use chair in the shower.
