Broda - 18
Broda 18" Tilt-in-Space Chair is a mid-range width specialty seating option providing full postural support, pressure management, and tilt functionality for patients who fit within an 18" seat width. It is one of the most commonly prescribed Broda sizes, suitable for average-framed adults with complex positioning needs.
The tension-adjustable seating system distributes weight evenly to reduce pressure points, while the smooth tilt mechanism allows caregivers to reposition the patient comfortably. OxyCare supplies, delivers, and sets up Broda chairs, and rental is available for hospice and transitional care.

Set-up
- Technician will set-up Broda Chair.
- Demonstrate all of the features.
- Patient/Caregiver demonstrates each step and has a solid understanding.
- Review how to call for service. When to order. Where to call.
Cleaning
- Chair can be wiped off with soapy water. Wipe soap off with a damp cloth.
Safety
- Apply brakes when transferring patient, or when chair is not being moved.
- Upon transfer into chair tilt sufficiently to prevent sliding or falling forward.
- Position feet on footrest and slightly to fully elevate footrest.
- Be sure pathways are clear for movement.
- Tilt the seat sufficiently to prevent chair from tipping forward or backward.
- The chair should only be used in a supervised area.
- Exercise caution when repositioning patient in the chair.
- The patient should be repositioned frequently.
- Chair must be used on a level surface. Indoor use only.
- Avoid placing the chair near handrails or other objects, fixed or movable.
- Patient should be fully clothed. Avoid contact of bare skin to the straps of the chair.
- Do Not use chair in the shower.
NOTE - Weight Capacity 660 pounds. An 18 inch 30VT weighs 87 pounds.
