Broda 20" Tilt-in-Space Chair offers a wider seat for patients who require more lateral space while still benefiting from Broda's full postural support and tilt-in-space pressure management capabilities. The 20" seat width accommodates a broader range of body types and can be configured with accessories including thigh straps, trays, and O2 holders.

Broda's seating system is uniquely designed to reduce peak pressure by distributing the patient's weight across the tension-adjustable seat and back, making it ideal for high-risk skin integrity patients. OxyCare delivers and sets up all Broda models, and rental is available.

Set-up

  1. Technician will set-up Broda Chair.
  2. Demonstrate all of the features.
  3. Patient/Caregiver demonstrates each step and has a solid understanding.
  4. Review how to call for service. When to order. Where to call.

Cleaning

  1. Chair can be wiped off with soapy water. Wipe soap off with a damp cloth.

Safety

  1. Apply brakes when transferring patient, or when chair is not being moved.
  2. Upon transfer into chair tilt sufficiently to prevent sliding or falling forward.
  3. Position feet on footrest and slightly to fully elevate footrest.
  4. Be sure pathways are clear for movement.
  5. Tilt the seat sufficiently to prevent chair from tipping forward or backward.
  6. The chair should only be used in a supervised area.
  7. Exercise caution when repositioning patient in the chair.
  8. The patient should be repositioned frequently.
  9. Chair must be used on a level surface. Indoor use only.
  10. Avoid placing the chair near handrails or other objects, fixed or movable.
  11. Patient should be fully clothed. Avoid contact of bare skin to the straps of the chair.
  12. Do Not use chair in the shower.

NOTE - Weight Capacity 660 pounds. An 18 inch 30VT weighs 87 pounds.
