Broda 26" Tilt-in-Space Chair is a wide-seat specialty chair for patients who require a broad seating surface alongside Broda's advanced postural support and pressure redistribution features. It is appropriate for larger patients who cannot be safely or comfortably accommodated in standard Broda widths.

The tension-adjustable back and seat system works across all Broda widths to redistribute pressure and support optimal positioning. OxyCare supplies the full range of Broda chair widths and can advise on the correct size and accessory configuration for individual patients. Rental is available.

Set-up

1. Technician will set-up Broda Chair.
2. Demonstrate all of the features.
3. Patient/Caregiver demonstrates each step and has a solid understanding.
4. Review how to call for service. When to order. Where to call.

Cleaning

1. Chair can be wiped off with soapy water. Wipe soap off with a damp cloth.

Safety

1. Apply brakes when transferring patient, or when chair is not being moved.
2. Upon transfer into chair tilt sufficiently to prevent sliding or falling forward.
3. Position feet on footrest and slightly to fully elevate footrest.
4. Be sure pathways are clear for movement.
5. Tilt the seat sufficiently to prevent chair from tipping forward or backward.
6. The chair should only be used in a supervised area.
7. Exercise caution when repositioning patient in the chair.
8. The patient should be repositioned frequently.
9. Chair must be used on a level surface. Indoor use only.
10. Avoid placing the chair near handrails or other objects, fixed or movable.
11. Patient should be fully clothed. Avoid contact of bare skin to the straps of the chair.
12. Do Not use chair in the shower.

NOTE - Weight Capacity 660 pounds. An 18 inch 30VT weighs 87 pounds.
