Broda Tray is a removable accessory tray designed to attach to Broda tilt-in-space chairs, providing a stable work and dining surface for patients who spend extended time in Broda seating. The tray supports independence in eating, activity engagement, and daily tasks for patients who cannot use a standard over-bed table from their chair.

Broda Trays are easy to attach and remove and are compatible with all standard Broda chair models. OxyCare supplies Broda accessories including trays alongside full chair setups, and can include a tray as part of a rental configuration.

Set-up

1. Technician will set-up Broda Chair.
2. Demonstrate all of the features.
3. Patient/Caregiver demonstrates each step and has a solid understanding.
4. Review how to call for service. When to order. Where to call.

Cleaning

1. Chair can be wiped off with soapy water. Wipe soap off with a damp cloth.

Safety

1. Apply brakes when transferring patient, or when chair is not being moved.
2. Upon transfer into chair tilt sufficiently to prevent sliding or falling forward.
3. Position feet on footrest and slightly to fully elevate footrest.
4. Be sure pathways are clear for movement.
5. Tilt the seat sufficiently to prevent chair from tipping forward or backward.
6. The chair should only be used in a supervised area.
7. Exercise caution when repositioning patient in the chair.
8. The patient should be repositioned frequently.
9. Chair must be used on a level surface. Indoor use only.
10. Avoid placing the chair near handrails or other objects, fixed or movable.
11. Patient should be fully clothed. Avoid contact of bare skin to the straps of the chair.
12. Do Not use chair in the shower.

NOTE - Weight Capacity 660 pounds. An 18 inch 30VT weighs 87 pounds.
