Broda 20" with Big Wheels is a wider-wheeled variant of the Broda tilt-in-space chair designed for patients who self-propel or whose caregivers prefer the additional stability and terrain clearance of larger rear wheels. It retains all of Broda's standard postural support and pressure redistribution features while providing improved maneuverability.

The 20" seat width makes this model suitable for average-to-wider-framed adult patients. OxyCare delivers and sets up Broda chairs in all configurations, and rental is available for short-term and hospice care needs.

Set-up

1. Technician will set-up Broda Chair.
2. Demonstrate all of the features.
3. Patient/Caregiver demonstrates each step and has a solid understanding.
4. Review how to call for service. When to order. Where to call.

Cleaning

1. Chair can be wiped off with soapy water. Wipe soap off with a damp cloth.

Safety

1. Apply brakes when transferring patient, or when chair is not being moved.
2. Upon transfer into chair tilt sufficiently to prevent sliding or falling forward.
3. Position feet on footrest and slightly to fully elevate footrest.
4. Be sure pathways are clear for movement.
5. Tilt the seat sufficiently to prevent chair from tipping forward or backward.
6. The chair should only be used in a supervised area.
7. Exercise caution when repositioning patient in the chair.
8. The patient should be repositioned frequently.
9. Chair must be used on a level surface. Indoor use only.
10. Avoid placing the chair near handrails or other objects, fixed or movable.
11. Patient should be fully clothed. Avoid contact of bare skin to the straps of the chair.
12. Do Not use chair in the shower.
