Heated Breathing Tube
Heated Breathing Tube is a circuit component for PAP therapy devices (CPAP, BiPAP, ventilators) that incorporates a heating wire to warm the airflow as it travels from the humidifier to the patient interface. Heating the tube prevents condensation (rainout) from accumulating in the circuit, which causes water to drip into the mask — a common comfort complaint with unheated tubes.
Heated tubes are compatible with specific device and humidifier combinations; OxyCare can advise on compatibility. Regular replacement is recommended per manufacturer guidelines. OxyCare supplies heated breathing tubes for all major PAP platforms.
