HTR 5000 is a high-performance hospital-grade pressure relief mattress designed for patients at very high risk of pressure injury development. It provides advanced foam or air-foam combination support to optimize pressure redistribution across all body contact areas, making it appropriate for patients with existing stage 3 or 4 pressure injuries or those considered at extreme risk.

The HTR 5000 is used on hospital-style bed frames and is designed to fit standard and bariatric bed platforms. OxyCare supplies the HTR 5000 alongside compatible bed frames and all required positioning accessories. Rental is available.

Please follow instructions given by the equipment technician. Please follow your doctor's orders.

Set-up

1. Technician will set-up Geri-Chair.
2. Demonstrate the reclining feature.
3. Lock chair in reclining position.
4. Brakes on wheels should be in locked position prior to reclining chair.
5. Demonstrate wheellocks/brakes.
6. Demonstrate how to operate tray table.
7. Patient/Caregiver demonstrates each step and has a solid understanding.
8. Review how to call for service. When to order. Where to call.

Cleaning

1. Chair can be wiped off with soapy water. Wipe soap off with a damp cloth.

Safety

1. Wheellocks must be engaged when reclining chair.
2. Do not rock in chair.
3. Be sure pathways are clear for movement within the home, check doorways.
