Oxymizer is a reservoir-equipped nasal cannula that stores a small volume of oxygen in a pendant reservoir worn on the chest or in a mustache-style reservoir at the nose, releasing a concentrated bolus of oxygen at the start of each inhalation. This increases oxygen delivery efficiency and allows patients to use lower flow settings to achieve the same blood oxygen level as a standard cannula at higher flow.
