Broda Pedal Chair (18") is an 18"-wide tilt-in-space seating system featuring integrated pedal footrests for patients with some residual lower extremity function. It provides Broda's full postural support and pressure redistribution alongside a pedal mechanism that supports patient engagement and gentle lower limb activity.

Available with all standard Broda accessories, this model suits average-framed adults who benefit from both seating support and foot-driven mobility options. OxyCare delivers and sets up Broda Pedal Chairs, and rental is available for short-term needs.

Set-up

1. Technician will set-up Broda Chair.
2. Demonstrate all of the features.
3. Patient/Caregiver demonstrates each step and has a solid understanding.
4. Review how to call for service. When to order. Where to call.

Cleaning

1. Chair can be wiped off with soapy water. Wipe soap off with a damp cloth.

Safety

1. Apply brakes when transferring patient, or when chair is not being moved.
2. Upon transfer into chair tilt sufficiently to prevent sliding or falling forward.
3. Position feet on footrest and slightly to fully elevate footrest.
4. Be sure pathways are clear for movement.
5. Tilt the seat sufficiently to prevent chair from tipping forward or backward.
6. The chair should only be used in a supervised area.
7. Exercise caution when repositioning patient in the chair.
8. The patient should be repositioned frequently.
9. Chair must be used on a level surface. Indoor use only.
10. Avoid placing the chair near handrails or other objects, fixed or movable.
11. Patient should be fully clothed. Avoid contact of bare skin to the straps of the chair.
12. Do Not use chair in the shower.
