Bariatric Shower Chair is a heavy-duty bathing seat designed to support patients weighing up to 500 lbs in the shower. With a reinforced frame, extra-wide 20" seat, and height-adjustable legs from 14.7" to 20", it provides a stable, safe bathing surface for larger patients who cannot stand safely in the shower but do not require a full shower commode system.

OxyCare delivers and sets up bariatric shower chairs alongside other bariatric equipment, adjusting the seat height to suit each patient's needs. Rental is available for patients with short-term bathing support requirements.

Please follow instructions given by the equipment technician. Please follow your doctor's orders.

Set-up

1. Technician will set-up the commode at your home.
2. Adjust the commode/bath seat to the proper height, adjust to the height that allows patient to stand from device.
3. Adjustments are made by depressing the spring-loaded button and moving the foot piece to the desired height.
4. Arms are used to guide the patient on and off the seat.
5. Position commode bucket in proper place.
6. Patient/Caregiver demonstrates each step and has a solid understanding.
7. Review how to call for service. When to order. Where to call.

Cleaning

1. Commodes/Bath Seats can be wiped off with soapy water. Wipe soap off with a damp cloth.
2. Commode Buckets should be emptied after each use.
3. Commode Buckets should be sanitized each day with disinfectant.

Safety

1. Watch for trip hazards (cords, throw rugs, uneven surfaces).
2. All feet on commode/bath seat must be the same height.
3. Be sure pathways are clear for movement within the home, check doorways.
4. Check for wear on the rubber tips after an extended period of use.
