Transfer Board is a smooth, rigid sliding board used to bridge the gap between two surfaces — such as a bed and a wheelchair — allowing patients to transfer laterally without standing. It reduces the physical effort required from both the patient and caregiver during seated transfers and is particularly useful for patients who retain some upper body strength but cannot perform a stand-pivot transfer.
