AVAP (Average Volume-Assured Pressure Support) device is an advanced non-invasive ventilation mode that automatically adjusts pressure delivery to maintain a consistent target tidal volume over time. It is used for patients with complex respiratory conditions, including obesity hypoventilation syndrome, central sleep apnea, and neuromuscular disease, where standard CPAP or BiPAP therapy may be insufficient.
