O2 - Oxygen Conserving Device
Oxygen Conserving Device (OCD) is a pulse-dose valve that attaches to a portable oxygen cylinder and delivers oxygen only during inhalation rather than continuously, extending cylinder duration by 2–5 times compared to continuous flow delivery. It allows patients to use smaller, lighter M6-size cylinders for longer periods, significantly increasing the practical range of portable oxygen use.
OxyCare supplies OCDs alongside portable cylinder setups including M6 tanks and bags, and can advise on appropriate device selection based on the patient's prescribed flow rate and activity needs.
